Recommended quagga mussel inspection/ boat cleaning routine:
1. When you are done for the day and trailer your boat, open the livewell valves.
2. Park the boat uphill, if possible. It will help drain better.
3. Remove the bilge pump.
4. Tilt the motor all the way down and drain it. Repeat one more time at the end.
5. Remove all of the screens in the livewells. Remove all debris. Spray with Water Dog and wipe dry.
6. Spray Water Dog in livewells and wipe dry.
7. Spray down in drain and flush with water and wipe dry.
8. Spray around boat and motor and wipe dry.
9. It is very important after using Water Dog always apply Peregrine 250 Wax and Cleaner for a nice shiny clean finish.
10. Always remove all grass weeds from trailer. Some lakes won’t let you in if they see weeds on the trailer.
11. For extra protection, always fill your livewell with water and add ‘Catch and Release’ or ‘Safe Release’. Either of these products will disinfect your livewells.
